1. Current status
Canopus Bank is presented on this website as a proposed Seychelles banking project in development. It is not currently represented as an authorised bank, deposit-taker, payment service provider, investment firm, virtual asset service provider or other regulated financial institution.
No banking services are currently available. You cannot open an account, place a deposit, send a payment, obtain credit, acquire a financial product or instruct Canopus Bank to perform a regulated service through this website.
2. Banking authorisation
Banking business in Seychelles is subject to the applicable financial institutions legislation and authorisation and supervision by the Central Bank of Seychelles. The use of the name “Canopus Bank” on this pre-launch website does not itself confer a banking licence or imply regulatory approval.
Any banking launch will depend on completion of the relevant incorporation, ownership, capital, governance, systems, people, control and licensing requirements. Timing, scope and approval cannot be guaranteed.
3. Virtual asset activities
Any future virtual asset service would sit within a distinct legal and supervisory perimeter. No virtual asset service is offered or promoted through this website.
The project approach is bank-first: any future virtual asset activity would be considered only after the banking institution is established and only subject to the relevant authorisation by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority, additional capital and operating requirements, and approved governance and risk arrangements.
4. No securities offer or investment advice
Nothing on this website constitutes or forms part of an offer, invitation, solicitation or recommendation to acquire securities, provide financing, place deposits or enter into any transaction. No prospectus, private placement memorandum or regulated investment communication is made through the website.
Any future investor discussion would be private, eligibility-controlled, subject to confidentiality where appropriate, and governed only by definitive legal documents. Website content must not be relied upon as financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or regulatory advice.
5. Forward-looking information
Statements concerning design intentions, future products, markets, partnerships, licensing, technology, timing, growth or optionality are forward-looking and inherently uncertain. They describe current intentions rather than commitments.
Actual outcomes may differ because of regulatory decisions, capital availability, market conditions, third-party dependencies, technology implementation, customer demand, risk appetite and other factors.
6. No deposit protection representation
Because Canopus Bank is not currently operating as an authorised deposit-taking institution, no representation is made that funds placed with any promoter, shareholder, adviser or other party are deposits with Canopus Bank or benefit from any deposit protection arrangement. No person is authorised through this website to receive funds on behalf of Canopus Bank.
7. Fraud and impersonation warning
Be cautious of any person claiming to open a Canopus Bank account, accept a deposit, sell an investment, provide a virtual asset service or request a fee in the bank's name. Verify communications using the contact details published on this website.
Suspected impersonation or fraud should be reported to security@canopusbank.com. Do not send funds or sensitive credentials in response to an unsolicited message.
8. Regulatory enquiries
Questions about this notice may be sent to hello@canopusbank.com. This contact route does not replace communication with a competent regulator or independent professional adviser.
